2026 Promises to be a Busy Year at the CV Chamber
Before the end of 2025 members of the planning committee of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce sat down to take a look at events we would like to have in the first quarter of 2026.
So, looking ahead we have planned these events:
On Feb. 7 we are hosting bingo at Verdugo Hills Memorial Hall, 4011 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.; the first bingo game will be at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Robert Manciero, Chamber vice president, at (818) 248-4957.
On Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. we are having a Pre-Smart-A-Thon Mixer at Bob Smith Toyota, 3333 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. This is a warm-up for the March 13 Smart-A-Thon at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. The Chamber is partnering with the Mary Pinola Education Fund for the Pre-Smart-A-Thon Mixer and the night will include live music, treats, display and (perhaps most importantly) the presentation of grants from the Education Fund to outstanding community organizations.
We are so grateful to Bob Smith Toyota for hosting this annual event. Admission is $15 for CV Chamber members, $20 for non-members. To learn more, including sponsoring the Smart-A-Thon, visit pinolafund.org.
On April 25 it’s the Hometown Country Fair! This is a favorite community event and features live music, giveaways, information booths, first responders, shopping booths, dance performances, a pie-eating contest, classic car show and more! Held at CV Park (3901 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Fair is a free event to the community (a gift from the Chamber). Despite being a rainy morning last year, we had a “fair” turnout, and saw the number of visitors increase as the clouds went away.
We’re looking forward to a dynamic year, so mark your calendars now! And if you’re not already a member consider being a part of the CV Chamber of Commerce. Information on joining the Chamber can be found on our website https://www.crescentavalleychamber.org/. The Chamber is a dependable source for community information and business referrals. Membership with the Chamber of Commerce shows you are a progressive business, invested in the Chamber and the community. It also adds credibility to your business. Our strength comes from our members, and with an ever-expanding grassroots base we can make an impact on the issues facing the Crescenta Valley. The board meets on the first Tuesday evening of the month at Sadler Hall on the grounds of St. Luke’s of the Mountains, 2563 Foothill Blvd. (at the corner of Rosemont Avenue). The community is invited at 6:15 p.m. to find out what’s planned.
