DAR Holds Holiday Celebration

Members and guests of the Don José Verdugo Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, held its annual holiday luncheon and meeting recently at Oakmont Country Club. Those in attendance enjoyed a program history of the Doctors’ House Museum in Brand Park presented by Peter Rusch.

DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, DC, is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism and preserving American history and is the largest women’s patriotic organization in the world. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
