Phyllis Harb: Providing Guidance, Transparent Communication and a Client-First Approach

The real estate journey of Phyllis Harb began in the mortgage banking industry where she built a successful career that culminated in a vice presidency for a division of Sterling Bank.
“While I appreciated the structure and analytics of banking, I quickly realized my true passion lay in working directly with people,” she recalls.
In 1989, she transitioned into residential real estate, teaming up with her mother, Joyce Serra – a respected and successful Realtor in Glendale. After her mother’s retirement and with Phyllis having two young daughters at home, she sought a career path that offered more family-friendly hours.
“This led me to focus on probate, trust and foreclosure properties – areas that aligned with ‘bankers’ hours’ and still allowed me to serve clients with compassion and integrity,” she said.
As her daughters grew, she expanded her business to include more traditional home buyers and sellers.
“Over the years, I’ve been privileged to help many families navigate one of life’s most important decisions – buying or selling a home – with care, professionalism and a deep understanding of our local market,” she said.
Community is at the heart of what she does.
“I’m proud to support the Crescenta Valley Weekly, a publication that plays a vital role in keeping our neighborhoods informed and connected. Community newspapers like this one shine a light on the stories that matter most – local schools, small businesses, city council decisions – and provide a platform that larger outlets often miss.”
Outside of real estate, she has always found joy in giving back. When her daughters were young, she served as their Girl Scout troop leader.
“I’m also an active parishioner at St. Bede in La Cañada, where I currently serve as president of the Italian Catholic Federation,” she said. “For the past nine years, my real estate partner Kris Jardino and I have chaired our branch’s largest fundraiser: the annual silent auction.
“Additionally, I’m honored to serve on the board of directors for Bags and Grace, a nonprofit founded by my dear friend Tom Provost. This organization provides care packages and essential supplies to those experiencing homelessness throughout Los Angeles.”
Over the course of several decades in real estate, she has proudly assisted more than a thousand buyers and sellers.
“I am dedicated to providing thoughtful guidance, transparent communication, and a client-first approach at every stage of the real estate journey,” she said.
