The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and CO – its award-winning digital platform for small businesses – has named Kane Communications Group to the CO—100: America’s Top 100 Small Businesses list.
Kane, whose president is Crescenta Valley High School alumna Kimberly (Brown) Kane (Class of 1989, was selected out of more than 12,500 applicants for impressive growth, innovative strategies and a commitment to building a strong workplace culture. Kane stands among 10 honorees recognized as Champions of Adaptability, businesses that “have shown the grit and determination needed to
navigate through tough times with unwavering resolve and innovative problem-solving,” according to the CO—100 website.

The Pasadena Heritage board of directors has chosen Dr. Bridget Lawlor as its new executive director effective Dec. 1.
Dr. Lawlor has served as the Pasadena Heritage preservation director since August 2024. She will take the helm from interim executive director Zoot Velasco beginning in an acting capacity on Nov. 1 as part of a smooth transition plan taking place over the coming months.

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulated Daniel Wood Corella of Tujunga and Nikole Alvarez of Montrose who were among those named to the summer 2025 President’s List. The summer terms run from May to August.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List.
Mathew Fernandez of La Crescenta, Ryan Campbell of Sunland and Christian Paolo Apresto of Montrose earned spots on the Dean’s List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired eight-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring and summer.
