Excitement is building as the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada invites the community to its Benefit Art Auction & Marketplace for an afternoon of remarkable art, boutique merchants and elegant tastings supporting local youth and community programs. The event takes place on Sunday, Oct. 12  from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the historic La Cañada Thursday Club, 4440 Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada Flintridge.

Guests will enjoy a curated silent art auction featuring works from listed and award-winning artists spanning the 1800s to the 1980s presented in the elegant grand ballroom with music by a live string quartet. The marketplace will showcase unique treasures from local artisans including woodworking, pottery, jewelry, clothiers, floral design and more.

Adding to the experience, every ticket includes entry to the wine & charcuterie garden where guests can sip distinctive wines, savor appetizers and linger in good company – all while supporting scholarships and vital community programs.

Alice Perez, Kiwanis Club of La Cañada president, said, “This is going to be a fabulous event! Our dedicated volunteers have created a signature fundraiser with proceeds going to strengthen youth service leadership programs, expand scholarships and ignite service projects that will make a difference in our community.”

Art Auction Chairperson Maureen Siegel Sprowles added, “I am so excited to present our Benefit Art Auction and Marketplace featuring many listed artists including Billy Al Bengston, Leo Politi and F. Grayson Sayre, along with our newly added marketplace featuring local creators and merchants. There will be something for everyone.”

Tickets are $60 per person with sponsorships available. For more information go to lacanadakiwanis.org, call (818) 568-6411 or email LCKiwanisClub@gmail.com. This event is presented by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID #95-4359177).
