It was a festive air that surrounded the members and guests of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s first mixer in over a year. Held at Alissa’s Ocean View Bar and Grill in Montrose, over 30 people attended the evening that included food, beverages, opportunity drawings and, of course, the chance to network with local business people.
Last Thursday’s Chamber mixer at Alissa’s Ocean View Bar and Grill was attended by 34 community/business members, each having a great time socializing and networking. The energy in the room was a reflection of everyone’s desire to get back to what we do best … social mingling and reconnecting,” said Steve Pierce, executive director of the CV Chamber. “I felt the mixer was one of our best; not the largest gathering but one of our most relaxing and just plain fun. We had some terrific bottles of wine and prizes as raffle gifts and even had one of our attendees receive a three-month family membership to the YMCA of the Foothills. It doesn’t get any better!”

While enjoying eating, drinking and mingling, guests listened to musical entertainment provided by Tony DiGiovanni, a professional musician who is available for hire.
“The atmosphere was ecstatic! Everyone seemed very excited to once again meet in person and share their stories – and the obstacles they’ve had to overcome during the pandemic shutdown,” said CV Chamber President Mike Riley. “We look forward to even more successful mixers in the months to come.”

The Chamber is hosting a golf tournament tomorrow, Friday, at Scholl Canyon Golf Course with proceeds benefitting the Chamber scholarship fund. Looking ahead, the chamber is planning its annual Hometown Country Fair, being held at CV Park on Sept. 18. There is still room for more vendors at the Fair; contact the chamber office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at (818) 248-4957 and Pierce can provide details.
