On Sunday, April 27, the Foothills Community Scholarship Foundation of LCF, Inc. will hold its 61st Annual FCSF Scholarship Awards ceremony at 2 p.m. at the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge, 4469 Chevy Chase Drive in LCF. At the event, FCSF will also honor the 2025 Distinguished Educator Award recipient Joann Merrick and the 2025 Distinguished Volunteer Awardee Becky Gelhaar.

The ceremony will feature the distribution of 12 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Crescenta Valley High School, Flintridge Sacred Heart, La Cañada High School and St. Francis High School. The program will showcase the presentation of commemorative, memorial and named scholarships to a group of students set to make their mark through their higher education goals.
FCSF President Trish McRae said, “We’re thrilled to celebrate this year’s student scholarship recipients who truly represent the brilliance and promise of our local youth. Their heartfelt essays revealed a deep commitment to education, service, family and community. We warmly invite [the community] to join us as we applaud these inspiring students, recognize exceptional community leaders and acknowledge both present and past FCSF supporters through scholarships designed to make a lasting impact.”
The public is invited to attend. Email the RSVP to Trish McRae at Presidentfcsf@gmail.com by April 25.
