April Fools’ Pranks

April 1 is historically a time when pranksters can have a laugh at the expense of unsuspecting victims. Below readers share pranks played on them.

“Well, to my surprise I arrived home on April Fools one year to find my parents had placed a ‘for sale’ sign in front of my house.

“Trying to outdo my parents and while still captain of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station I redeployed the ‘for sale’ sign to the front of the station on April Fools Day the next year. (We didn’t get a single offer!)”
