On Jan. 9, Debra Landau and Kathy Dorsey, two members of the La Crescenta Woman’s Club,, participated in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC)-San Gabriel Valley District (SGVD) craft contest. Landau entered two quilts in the machine-quilted category and ended up winning third place and garnering an honorable mention. Dorsey entered a scrapbook highlighting the history of the La Crescenta Woman’s Club, taking home first place for uncategorized entries. Her scrapbook was also selected by SGVD members as the best in show across all categories with 51 entries.
