County Presentation on CVTC Agenda

The Crescenta Valley Town Council meets tonight, Thursday, Sept. 20 at the La Crescenta Library community room.

On the agenda is a presentation to the Council by the Los Angeles County Parks & Rec of the final rendering for the Two Strike Park Median Tree Project.

The Arroyo Verdugo Communities Joint Powers Authority (AVCJPA), consist of the cities of Burbank, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, and South Pasadena and the unincorporated areas of Crescenta Valley/Montrose within Los Angeles County. Earlier this year, the city councils and county approved the formation of the JPA and have begun work on the first 5-year funding plan for the JPA’s Multiyear Sub-regional Programs (MSP). Funded through the voter-approved sales tax Measure M, the Arroyo Verdugo communities must create their MSP plans in order to determine what projects to fund in the first five years. Each agency within the JPA will be hosting a public meeting to discuss the potential projects and would like the community’s input.

The Dept. of Transportation Office of Environmental Engineering /Division of Environmental Planning will present to the Council the result of the noise and vibration study for the sound walls on I-210 Freeway.

The Town Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library community room, 2809 Foothill Blvd, La Crescenta. Community members are welcome and encouraged to attend CVTC meetings. Questions, comments or concerns can be emailed to contact@thecvcouncil.com or addressed during the monthly CVTC meeting.
