The California Dept. of Transportation (Caltrans) will close lanes, on/off ramps and connectors on the Foothill Freeway (I-210), as part of a pavement rehabilitation project. Residents and local businesses located near the freeway may experience noise, vibrations and dust associated with construction activities. Water trucks will be used to minimize dust during working hours, and equipment movement will be limited to reduce noise from back-up alarms. Motorists should take extra precaution when driving near the I-710 work site since trucks will be concrete materials.
There will be a full closure of northbound State Route 2 (SR-2) from Mountain Avenue to I-210 on two separate evenings, Wednesday September 19 and Thursday September 20, from 11:55 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. to install overhead signs across the freeway.
A contract change order will occur to fix additional concrete panels in the project area, extending the project into winter. The work site on the I-710 will still be operating in a reduced capacity during this time.
