Freeway Construction Updates

The California Dept. of Transportation (Caltrans) will close lanes, on/off ramps and connectors on the Foothill Freeway (I-210) as part of a pavement rehabilitation project. Residents and local businesses located near the freeway may experience noise, vibrations and dust associated with construction activities. Water trucks will be used to minimize dust during working hours, and equipment movement will be limited to reduce noise from back-up alarms.

Additionally, the batch plant has been permanently removed from the work site. A concrete crusher is operating on the I-710/I-210 transition from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. through early August. Motorists should take extra precaution when driving near the operating site. The contractor is also scheduled to stripe eastbound and westbound I-210 between Glendale Freeway (SR-2) and Dunsmore Avenue to its final alignment next week.
