1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that she had arrived at the YMCA and placed her gym bag inside a locker and locked it. When she returned to her locker after her workout, she discovered her locker was open and the lock and gym bag were missing. After a search she found her gym bag in another locker but her car keys and other personal items were missing. She then went to the parking lot to find her vehicle missing.
She reported it to the Y personnel. A search of the parking found the vehicle parked in a different area of the parking lot. When deputies arrived they reviewed the surveillance footage and saw a woman in the parking lot described as white, 40-to-45 years old, weighing about 160-to-170 pounds with blond hair, at the time she was wearing a shite sleeveless shirt, blue torn jeans and white shoes. She looked around for a while then got into the victim’s vehicle and drove away. The car returned later to the parking lot.
The incident occurred between 11:10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
June 28
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a woman described as Hispanic and 30 years old walked out of a store without attempting to pay for several items she was carrying. A store employee followed the woman out of the store. She got into a black SUV with two male suspects. The employee asked the woman to return the merchandise; she handed the employee an empty box and fled with the rest of the merchandise at 7:35 p.m.
June 26
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, several propane tanks were stolen from a store. A witness reported seeing a man crouched in front of the propane display cage. He was described as a male white wearing a black ski mask and a blue hooded sweatshirt. When he saw the witness he got into a 2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and drove away at 2 a.m.
June 19
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman’s purse was stolen from a grocery store cart at 3 p.m.
June 11
2400 block of Carol Park Place in Montrose, a couple were moving into a new home and had taken several boxes out of their vehicle. At the end of day the husband realized he had not unloaded all of the items from his vehicle and had left a door and trunk propped open. He went down to the vehicle and moved it to another parking space, locked it and returned to his home. The next morning his wife went to finish unloading the rest of the items and found several boxes missing.
The theft occurred overnight.
