Hop Down to Foothill For Clean Up Day
The 2018 Foothill Community Clean Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to noon. This volunteer community service day provides the opportunity for students, families, service organizations, businesses and other groups to do some “spring cleaning” on Foothill Boulevard, aka La Crescenta’s “Main Street.” Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and to bring work gloves.

Rosemont Preserve Open Gate Morning
Share the outdoors at the next “open gate” event at the Rosemont Preserve on Sunday morning, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. … no fooling! This is a chance to visit the Rosemont Preserve to wander the trail, enjoy the tranquil setting, the wildlife and the natural beauty. Participate in the Rosemont Biodiversity Project and become a citizen scientist!
Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions.
The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave, La Crescenta, and then walk north two blocks to enter the Rosemont Preserve. Please bring water and wear sturdy shoes to walk the trail.
This event is free to the public and suitable for all ages. No reservations required, no pets please.

Book Sale at La Crescenta Library
The Friends of La Crescenta Library will be holding it April book sale in the meeting room at the La Crescenta Library. There are plenty of pre-read books at next to nothing prices that need a good home. A “members only” presale (may join at the door) takes place on Friday, April 6 from 3 p.. to 7 p.m. and the public is invited on Saturday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Find a great deal and support the library at the same time!
