Sept. 16
2800 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta, an iPad, tool bag and tools were stolen from a locked vehicle. Surveillance footage showed a black pickup truck, possibly a Ford F 150, traveling westbound on Prospect Avenue. It stopped directly in front of the victim’s residence. The passenger, described as a male Hispanic adult wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and dark colored shoes, exited the vehicle. The suspect walked toward the victim’s car and used a flashlight to look inside the rear window.
The incident occurred at 1:53 a.m.
900 block of Valley Crest in La Cañada, equipment from a gaming system and tennis balls were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Surveillance footage shows an unknown suspect, wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, face mask, baseball cap and gloves, entered the vehicle and took the items at 3:10 a.m.
Sept. 12
5200 Haskell Street in La Cañada, a man reported that, as he was parking his vehicle in his driveway, he noticed a light colored vehicle parked just north of his residence. He parked his car in his driveway and began walking towards his residence. He was carrying a bank bag under his right arm. As he approached the footpath at the edge of his driveway, he heard the sound of someone running up behind him. He turned and saw a man, described as black, 25 years old with short black hair and brown eyes. At the time he was wearing a short sleeve T-shirt with red horizontal stripes, blue jean shorts and tennis shoes. The man was holding a small aerosol spray can and sprayed the victim in the face. The victim attempted to turn away from the suspect to protect himself. The victim attempted to stop the suspect from taking the bag but was unable to do so. The suspect ran down the driveway and got into the driver side front door of a sedan that was parked nearby and fled the area.
The robbery occurred at 3:30 p.m.
Sept. 11
4100 block of Briggs Avenue in Montrose, person/s unknown punched the lock on the driver’s side front door and the lock on the rear cargo door of a van. A nail gun was stolen overnight.
2400 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, person/s unknown punched the lock on the driver’s side front door and the lock on the rear cargo door of a van  and several tools were stolen overnight.
