UPDATE:
Crescenta Valley Water District crews continue to work on the broken water pipe at Pennsylvania and Community avenues as of 4:15 p.m. today.
“There was a two inch hole in an eight inch pump line,” said Christy Scott, CVWD spokeswoman.
The break was not a distribution line so it did not affect service to any CVWD customers.
Crews are working to remove and repair a five to six foot section of the pipe. Work is expected to be completed later this evening.
