LCIF Invites Community to All Saints Day Worship Service
Lutheran Church in the Foothills (LCIF) invites the community to attend its All Saints Day worship service on Sunday, No. 1 at 10 a.m. led by Pastor Viv Vega. At LCIF, All Saints Day is a time for the congregation to pause, reflect and give thanks for all people of faith – both those living today and those who have passed away.
In the Lutheran faith, the word “saint” isn’t limited to famous historical figures. Instead, it refers to every believer, viewing each person as both flawed in daily life and forgiven through God’s grace.
During Sunday’s worship, the church will honor loved ones who have passed away by reading their names aloud. A bell will chime for each person named.
Following the service, everyone is invited to gather in the fellowship hall for refreshments and snacks. The informal gathering will offer an opportunity to enjoy fellowship and connect with members of the congregation and other community members.
Anyone attending Sunday worship is encouraged to bring non perishable foods and/or personal hygiene products for the church’s “Grace-Giving” drive. Donations can be placed on the altar for a blessing during Sunday worship. Alternatively, items can be dropped off at the church office and LCIF will make sure they get to the altar the following Sunday for a blessing. Donated items will help those in need this Thanksgiving holiday.
