“Bringing our community together is at the heart of everything we do and the Thanksgiving Run & Food Drive does that in the most meaningful way,” said Michael Powers, executive director of the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge. “Runners and walkers come out to celebrate the holiday and through our partnership with NASA Services and Sue’s Garden we’re also making sure our neighbors in need have something to be thankful for this season.”
The Community Center is again partnering with NASA Services to collect food donations during the month of November. Donations of non-perishable food and hygiene items are welcome. Gift cards may be dropped off at the Community Center office during business hours. Donations will be given to Sue’s Garden in La Crescenta for distribution to local families in need.
Advance registration for the Run is highly recommended; walk-up registration is not guaranteed. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available.
