LCIF Invites Community to Grace-Giving
Lutheran Church in the Foothills – LCIF – invites the community to participate in its Grace-Giving drive through Nov. 22. The church is collecting pantry staples such as canned goods, dry legumes, nut butters, dry pasta, boxed stuffing mix, canned gravy or cranberry sauce, vegetable or olive oil and sugar. Hygiene products are also needed including feminine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and diapers of any size. Donations can be placed on the altar for a blessing during Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Alternatively, items can be dropped off at the church office and LCIF will make sure they get to the altar for the Sunday blessing. Donated items will help those in need this Thanksgiving holiday.

‘Hypocrites: Them, Me and You’ with Cesar Cardona
Hypocrisy is easy to spot in others and hard to see in the mirror. Cesar Cardona
grew up in a violent, divided home and survived gang life, addiction and a brutal assault that meant relearning to walk and talk. The lesson: How we judge others often says more about us than about them.
His talk explores a simple, uncomfortable truth: understanding others starts with looking at ourselves.
Come ready to reflect and maybe catch yourself in the act.
In-person meets at 10:30 a.m. at 4451 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta. Visit the UUCVH website for the Zoom link: https://www.uuverdugo.org/.
