Fellow council member Alek Bartrosouf, who earned a master of urban planning from the University of California, Los Angeles, said the project was “amazing” especially in the number of safety improvements it achieved including slowing down traffic.

A resident who lives on La Crescenta Avenue, “Elizabeth” added that the completion of the project “has made such a difference in our lives,” saying that the reduction in noise was enough in itself.
The project was started in 2012 and the $16 million price tag was funded through various entities and partnerships.
