700 block of Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a person reported that she parked her vehicle at Switzer Falls and went for a hike. When she returned she noticed the trunk of her vehicle had been ransacked and her purse with personal information was stolen. She was not certain if she had locked the vehicle and did not see any signs of forced entry. She did receive a fraudulent alert from her bank that someone had attempted to use one of her stolen credit cards at Ralphs.
The theft occurred between 3:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Angeles Crest Highway and Starlight Crest in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a possible Flock camera that had been damaged at the intersection. When they arrived they found the camera had been stolen.

Sept 14
5100 block of Gould Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident received a letter from the IRS regarding his 2024 taxes. The documents from the IRS stated that he worked for a company from January to December 2024. He had never worked for the company. He contacted the IRS and a representative advised him to file a report with law enforcement.
The incident occurred between Jan. 1, 2024 and Dec. 31, 2024 but the victim received the letter from the IRS on Sept. 14, 2026.
