Dr. Al Nunez, noted as “A Man of Many Hats,” took the reins of president of the Glendale Kiwanis Club on Thursday night at the Glen Arden Club in Glendale.

Accepting the role from immediate past president Albert Hernandez, Nunez issued an invitation to the community.

“We want and need your ideas on what you see are the needs of this community,” he said during his installation speech. “Join us and turn your ideas into reality with the power of all of us working together on a common goal.”

Leading the Club with the theme, “Be the shoulder that kids stand on, because if you can see more, you can be more,” Nunez thanked fellow Club members for their ongoing assistance on heading various committees, helping with the annual Duck Race and more. In addition, he urged the community to be involved with the Glendale Kiwanis.

“For those of you who are not members of our Club, I’d like to invite you to join our Club,” he said. “We need you, the community needs you and the world needs you.”
