Community Invited to College Financial Aid Strategy Seminar at LCPC

Families throughout La Cañada Flintridge and the surrounding communities are invited to a College Financial Aid Strategy Seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at La Cañada Presbyterian Church.

With college costs approaching $100,000 a year at some schools, this seminar will help families better understand financial aid, recent policy changes and how income, home equity and other assets may affect eligibility. It is especially helpful for parents of middle and high school students who want to plan ahead and compare the true costs of UC and private colleges.

The seminar will be presented in Korean with live English translation. Guests are also invited to enjoy a complimentary catered Korean dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Families attending the seminar are welcome to take advantage of MERGE, LCPC’s free Wednesday evening program for fourth–12th graders from 3–9 p.m. MERGE includes homework time, dinner, activities, choir for fourth–sixth graders, and youth programs for seventh–12th graders. Adult programs are offered from 6:30–8 p.m., with childcare available for infants through third grade from 6:15–8:15 p.m.

La Cañada Presbyterian Church is located at 626 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
