La Cañada Presbyterian Church (LCPC) invites families, friends and neighbors from throughout the surrounding communities to its annual Chuseok & Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 13 at LCPC, 626 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
Chuseok, celebrated in Korea, and the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated throughout China and many parts of Asia, are beloved traditions centered around family, gratitude, gathering and sharing food together. LCPC’s celebration brings these traditions together as an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the community while giving thanks for the blessings that bring people together.
The Sunday morning services at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. will feature multilingual worship with special music and cultural elements, followed by an intercultural community celebration featuring Korean and Chinese cuisine and fellowship for all ages.
The celebration is part of LCPC’s ongoing commitment to becoming a growing intercultural church and building meaningful relationships with the diverse communities in and around La Cañada Flintridge.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of cultural background or church experience. Community members are especially encouraged to invite friends, neighbors and families to experience this joyful celebration together.
This event is free and open to the community. All are invited to come and celebrate together.
