On Aug. 14 LCPC Parent Ed presented a check for $10,583 to the director of Development and the Individual Giving manager of Court Appointment Special Advocates of Los Angeles (CASA/LA).
In keeping with the LCPC Parent Ed founder’s directives, LCPC Parent Ed tithes 10% of its funding proceeds to a non-profit organization that supports children and families. The LCPC Parent Ed board selected CASA/LA as its 2026 tithe recipient for the year.
“We are so happy to support CASA/LA and the incredible work [it does] for children and families in Los Angeles County,” said Heather Adamick, 2025-2026 Outreach chair of LCPC Parent Ed. “[Its] commitment to providing children with consistent, caring advocates is truly inspiring and we are honored that our 2026 tithe can help support such a meaningful, life-changing mission.”
Upon receipt of the gift, Nicole Arca, director of Development of CASA/LA, said, “The impact of your support will be felt deeply by the children and families [CASA/LA serves]. We are grateful to your community for believing in our mission!”
CASA/LA connects community members with children and families in the Los Angeles County child welfare and juvenile justice systems to provide court representation and guidance – a life-changing organization for both children and adults. The organization trains committed, consistent and caring adults who provide resources and connection with children and families. To learn more about CASA/LA, visit www.casala.org.
