St. Bede Presents Jazz in the Courtyard

St. Bede the Venerable Parish at 215 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada invites the community to enjoy an evening of live music under the stars. Saxophonist Murray Middleman and his All-Star Band will perform Jazz in the Courtyard on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 7 p.m. –10 p.m. Tickets available online at www.bede.org.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic dinner. Wine, beer and desserts will be available for purchase.

Waterpalooza! at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church 

Build friendships and beat the heat at Waterpalooza!, an afternoon of waterslides, water games and wet, wild fun at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 1-3 p.m.

Families in the community are welcome at this free event, hosted by LCPC Children’s Ministries. Parents must stay with their children for the entirety of the event.

Creativity and Spirituality with Lee Quarrie

How are creativity and spirituality intertwined? The paths of our lives offer opportunities to gain spiritual understanding, deeper self-knowledge, connection with other humans and a sense of meaning. Quarrie will unpack her lifetime of experience with creativity and what it has revealed to her about the nature of spirituality.

CSL Offers Gentle Movement Class, Sound Bath

The Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta is offering a gentle stretch and relax chair movement with Michelle Gillette. It takes place every Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. The cost is a $10 donation.

The class is at Chaffee Hall in the Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta.

Sound Bath with Pinoko and Dennis takes place on Aug. 29 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Donation is $25.
