Aug. 11 

3000 block of Hopeton Road in La Crescenta, a resident reported that the driver’s side door window seal had been damaged and several items inside his vehicle were missing. 

The vehicle burglary occurred between Aug. 11 and Aug. 15. 

Aug. 14

4300 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 5 p.m. on Aug. 14 and 5 p.m. on Aug. 15.

2100 block of Foothill Boulevard, a woman and her husband were walking to her vehicle. She was sitting in the driver’s seat with the door open. She went to put her purse in the center console of her vehicle when she felt an unknown person, described as a male Hispanic, 25, with a mustache and wearing a blue hoodie and dark pants, grab the chain of a necklace that was around her neck. The suspect was able to pull the necklace from the victim’s neck. The victim’s husband reported that he was on the other side of his wife’s vehicle when he heard her scream and saw the suspect. He approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and the suspect pointed a revolver at him. The husband held up his hands  and took a step back. The suspect then fled the area. 

The incident occurred at 7:40 p.m.

Aug. 15

5000 block of El Adobe Lane in La Crescenta, a resident was in the back of her home when she heard a loud bang. She investigated and found rocks near the glass door leading to her back door. The window was shattered. She did not notice any other damage. She reported that about month ago there was another incident of rocks being thrown into her backyard and a window had been damaged. The rocks were coming from the Rosemont Avenue area, near Two Strike Park. She investigated and saw a family with children at the park but was unable to confirm who threw the rocks.
