Stephen Francis Reger

April 30, 1958 – Aug. 2, 2026

Stephen Francis Reger, 68, passed away on Aug. 2 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on April 30, 1958 in Glendale to Bourke and Norma Reger.

Steve grew up in Tujunga and graduated from St. James the Less Catholic School. He was a 1976 graduate of St. Francis High School where he was very active in band and the pep squad. He went on to Loyola Marymount University and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and then to the University of Colorado – Denver where he earned his MBA in 1994. He retired from Wells Fargo as a technical project manager.

Steve had a lifelong love of music and guitars. He had a remarkable memory of local history and events and a witty sense of humor. He loved his school days at St. Francis and LMU and, as a Colorado alumnus, he became an avid Buffaloes football fan. He loved world travel with his wife, spending time with family and friends, his dogs and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by his former wife Sara; father Bourke; brother Paul (Kathy); sisters Kathleen (Bill) and Marianne (Pedro); aunt and uncle Rosie and Jack Arntzen; and cousins: Michael (Michele), Lori, Evan and Leila. He is preceded in death by his mother and cousin Olivia.

Stephen will be interred at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in Reno, Nevada at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to please donate in Stephen’s memory to St. Francis High School in La Cañada, or Loyola Marymount University.
