On July 19 the World Cup audience may have made some inroads into sales on the last day of La Providencia Guild’s three-day parking lot sale – but shoppers couldn’t beat half off. Sale items included home goods, accessories and collectibles, and furniture. All could be found at the Guild’s Thrift Shop located at 3301 W. Burbank Blvd. in Burbank.

Beginning Friday, July 17 and continuing over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), the sale benefitted Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Children’s Hospital is the first and largest pediatric hospital in Southern California. It relies on the generosity of philanthropists in the community.
One of the people who stopped by on Sunday donated diapers. North Hollywood resident Tatevik Hambaryan donated her grandson’s too-small diapers. Her grandson is now 18 months old. Happy to receive the diapers was support staff member Marisol Erazol. Erazol also lives in North Hollywood.

The shop is entirely run by volunteers and offers delivery service, provides estate sales and clean-out services.

Proceeds from the sale contribute to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles’ patient care, caregiver education and research efforts.
