Glendale Arts invites the public to a free presentation on the history of the Hollywood Bowl, given by Vic Pallos, tonight, Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. at ace/121 Gallery in Glendale.

The show relives the Bowl’s 100-plus-year history with images of vintage photos and postcards, along with anecdotes of many famous entertainers who have performed in this storied venue. The program also includes an interactive nostalgia quiz, Q&A and an invitation for audience members to share their own memories of the Bowl.

Vic Pallos is president of the Speakers Bureau, Los Angeles Philharmonic Affiliates and Glendale Arts board member. 

The program is a chance for audiences to “discover how a popular picnic spot in the hills above Hollywood became America’s most iconic outdoor entertainment venue and the summer home of the LA Philharmonic,” said Pallos, whose daughter Emilie Pallos will assist with the presentation.

While admission is complimentary, donations to Glendale Arts are encouraged to support ace/121 Gallery exhibitions and community arts programming. RSVPs are encouraged, but not required, at ace121gallery.com.
