Big Tujunga Canyon Road at mile marker 2.01 in Angeles National Forest, a man reported that he had parked, locked his vehicle and went for a hike. When he returned he found the driver side front door window had been smashed, his vehicle had been ransacked and items were stolen between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

3800 block of Park Place in Montrose, a person reported that a package was stolen from his apartment complex. Security footage revealed a male, described as Hispanic who was wearing a blue shirt and tan shorts, walking through the apartment complex, approaching multiple units and taking packages. He was then seen walking out of the area at 3:25 p.m.

2000 block of Franklin Street in La Crescenta, a resident reported arriving home to find a window screen leading to his home was slightly ajar. When he went into his home he found several items had been stolen. 

The burglary occurred between July 16-18. 

July 15

700 block of Angeles Crest Highway, mile marker 34.14 in Tujunga, a man reported he had parked in the area and went for a hike. When he returned he found the front passenger side window had been shattered and the passenger interior door was damaged. He also discovered his wallet was missing. He discovered that one of the stolen credit cards has three unauthorized transactions. He canceled his credit cards. 

The vehicle burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 8:25 p.m. 

July 14

2800 block of Mary Street in La Crescenta, a resident reported that the catalytic converter from his vehicle was stolen overnight. 

July 9

2800 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle. Security footage revealed a dark-colored sedan slowly driving eastbound on Altura Avenue and out of view, and then a dark-colored SUV driving rapidly westbound on Altura. The sedan stopped for about two minutes then drove off at a high rate of speed. 

The theft occurred at 2:20 a.m. 

3100 Alabama Street in La Crescenta, the owner of a vehicle that was parked at the location woke to the sound of loud power tools operating on the street. She left her house and spoke to a neighbor who told her the catalytic converter had just been stolen from her vehicle. 

According to neighboring witnesses, they were inside their garage when they heard the sound of metal being cut. Since there had been catalytic converter thefts in the area they thought this curious. The witness observed two males next to the victim’s vehicle. The witness called 9-1-1 to report the crime and also yelled at the suspects. Both suspects then entered a dark colored SUV that was parked on the street and left the area. 

The theft occurred between 2:10 a.m. and 2:20 a.m.
