Recently the Glendale Community College welcomed newly elected members to its board of trustees during a swearing-in ceremony held at the board’s regular meeting.

New trustees Dr. Edit Khachatryan and Manuel Magpapian, along with returning Trustee Yvette Vartanian Davis, took the oath of office, formally beginning their terms of service on the board.

Following the swearing-in, the board conducted its annual reorganization in which trustees selected officers to lead the board for the 2026-27 year. The results of the reorganization are as follows:

• President: Dr. Sevan Benlian
• Vice President: Desiree Portillo Rabinov
• Clerk: Dr. Edit Khachatryan

The board of trustees serves as the governing body for Glendale Community College District, setting policy and providing oversight to support the institution’s mission of serving students throughout the Glendale community.
