Empowerment Village is Mission Hope’s long-term housing and support program for single mothers with children ages 0–10 who are ready to take steps toward stability and independence. This 12–24 month program is for working moms within Riverside County with transportation, and includes personalized support in career development, education, financial planning and wellness. According to its website it had a 100% success rate last year of moms moving into permanent housing.

After the presentation members of the two clubs headed to the nearby Carter Reserve Winery where they enjoyed a wine tasting. At the wine tasting, members of both the Glendale Club and Temecula Club shared information, details of how meetings are run and stories of how each help their respective communities.
The Glendale Club meets Fridays at noon at the Elks Lodge at 120 E. Colorado St. Each week a speaker presents information regarding what it is s/he does or what his/her organization is about. The cost to attend a meeting is $25 and includes lunch.
