Crescenta Valley Town Council Update – July 2026
As summer settles into the Crescenta Valley and families enjoy longer days and community activities, the Crescenta Valley Town Council (CVTC) has remained actively engaged in advocating for our residents, strengthening relationships with elected officials and continuing important conversations with the people we serve.
Here is an update on what is happening in our community:
This past month, members of the CVTC had the opportunity to meet with both Senator Sasha Renée Pérez and Assemblymember Nick Schultz. These meetings provided a valuable opportunity to exchange information about the work taking place at both the state and local levels and, most importantly, to ensure that the concerns of Crescenta Valley residents are being heard.
During our discussions, Council members shared updates on projects and issues affecting our community while Senator Pérez and Assemblymember Schultz provided insight into their current legislative priorities and initiatives. We also took the opportunity to express concerns regarding the impact that several state legislative proposals have had, and may continue to have, on our foothill communities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to both Senator Pérez and Assemblymember Schultz for taking the time to meet with us. We appreciated the open, honest and transparent nature of the conversations and found them to be productive and constructive. We also expressed our desire to establish more regular meetings moving forward and were encouraged by their willingness to continue the dialogue. Strong communication between local communities and our elected representatives is essential, and we look forward to building upon these relationships in the months ahead.
One of the highlights of the month was our latest Coffee with the Council event at the Montrose Harvest Market. The beautiful summer weather provided the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversations with residents from across the Crescenta Valley.
Throughout the morning, community members stopped by to ask questions, share concerns, discuss neighborhood issues and learn more about ongoing projects affecting our area. These informal gatherings are among the most valuable opportunities we have as a Council. They allow us to hear directly from residents, better understand community priorities and provide updates on the issues that matter most to our neighborhoods.
We genuinely enjoy these opportunities to connect with the public. The community’s feedback, ideas and perspectives help guide our advocacy efforts and ensure that the Council remains focused on the needs of the community. We thank everyone who stopped by to visit and we encourage residents to join us at future events.
Looking Ahead: July General Meeting
The CVTC invites all residents to attend our upcoming general meeting on Thursday, July 16.
A featured presentation will be provided by representatives of the Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Works who will discuss the upcoming Pine Cone Road, et al. Phase I and Phase II Parkway Concrete Repair and Pavement Preservation Projects. This presentation will provide residents with important information regarding planned infrastructure improvements, project timelines and how these efforts will help preserve and maintain our local roadways.
Community participation is vital to ensuring residents stay informed about projects that impact our neighborhoods and we encourage everyone to attend and learn more.
The Crescenta Valley Town Council remains committed to advocating for our community, fostering productive relationships with government partners, and creating meaningful opportunities for residents to engage in local issues. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming meeting and continuing to work together to protect and improve the Crescenta Valley.
Our next general meeting is on Thursday, July 16 at 7 p.m. in the La Crescenta Library Community Room. Your attendance and participation are always appreciated as we work together to shape the future of our community.
