Odd Time for a Traffic Study

I have noticed that there is a traffic study being done on Briggs Avenue near the sheriff’s station [4554 Briggs Ave.]. This I suspect is for the project pending approval at Briggs and Foothill Boulevard; however, it is not going to be very accurate because it is being conducted after schools are on summer recess. 

I am not surprised that the study is being done when traffic will be lower. The results will favor the project’s approval. If there were to be an emergency during school days there will be parents urgently trying to get to their children and then getting out. All it will take to mess things up is one collision. The County is only thinking of one thing and that is more tax money coming in. Consider the rezoning by Van Nuys Airport to get more property tax money. And a real good one is allowing homes to be built on a known gas field in the Valley. 

There was no consideration of putting homes on top of the gas field. All that mattered was there would be more tax money coming in.
