Glendale Arts Announces Call For Artists For Series Of Group Shows

ace/121 Gallery, a contemporary art space and multidisciplinary venue in the heart of Glendale, which is programmed and operated by Glendale Arts, is now accepting submissions from artists for its 2027 exhibition season. Artists working in a wide range of media are invited to submit work for consideration in four upcoming themed group exhibitions scheduled throughout the year. The 2027 exhibition lineup will explore a diverse range of ideas and creative perspectives through four group shows:

Blue Echoes – Blue as color, emotion, memory, atmosphere or symbolism

Becoming – Growth, transformation, change, evolution and becoming

Chasing Light – Light, shadow, perception, revelation and illumination

Threads Between Us – Connection, belonging, identity, relationships and community

Selected artists will be included in one or more of four exhibitions presented during the following windows:

  • Feb. 6-March 6, 2027
  • April 2-May 1, 2027
  • July 17-Aug. 21, 2027
  • Dec. 4, 2027-Jan. 15, 2028
  • Artists may submit work that aligns with one or more of the exhibition themes. Submissions are welcome from emerging, mid-career and established artists working in disciplines including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, installation, digital media, video/film and other contemporary art practices.
