Big Tujunga Canyon Road at mile marker 9.18 in the Angeles National Forest, a deputy was flagged down by a man at the intersection of Angeles Crest Highway and Green Lane in La Cañada Flintridge. The man said a family member’s vehicle, which he was driving, had been “broken into.” The man said he parked and secured the vehicle on Big Tujunga Canyon Road and went for a hike at Fall Creek Falls. When he returned he discovered the front passenger window had been shattered. There was nothing reported missing. There was however blood smeared on the front passenger seat, suspected to belong to the suspect.
The vehicle burglary occurred between 2:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
June 3
400 block of Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest, a resident reported that his mailbox had been broken into but there was no mail inside the box. Security footage revealed a dark colored four-door sedan stop in front of the residence. A male, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, stepped out of the vehicle from the driver’s side door, approached the mailbox and used a tool to pry the lid off the mailbox. The man then removed the mail from the mailbox.
The theft occurred at 3:34 a.m.
2700 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta, a man parked and locked his white 2013 Nissan GTR at the location and went into his home. At about noon he noticed his car was gone.
Security footage revealed that at 3:18 a.m. a dark colored sedan parked behind his vehicle. At about 3:42 a.m. the dark colored vehicle and his own vehicle were gone.
The theft was reported at 3:42 a.m.
3000 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta, the front right tire on a woman’s vehicle was slashed between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.
