The Verdugo Hills Council of Scouting America will host its 2026 Community Impact Breakfast on Thursday, May 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Glen Arden Club, 357 Arden Ave. in Glendale The annual event will bring together community leaders, business professionals and residents to celebrate and support the positive impact of Scouting on local youth.

The Community Impact Breakfast highlights how Scouting programs are helping more than 1,300 young people in the region develop leadership skills, build character and engage in service to their communities. The event also serves as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and expand support for youth development initiatives.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Mike Libecki, a globally recognized explorer, filmmaker and conservationist. Libecki has led numerous expeditions to some of the world’s most remote environments and has been featured on major media platforms. His presentation will focus on leadership, resilience, and environmental stewardship –values that closely align with the mission of Scouting.
The breakfast is complimentary and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Scouting’s impact and how community support helps expand opportunities for local youth. A voluntary contribution will be invited at the conclusion of the program.
