Ramona Convent Secondary School will host its annual auction and gala on Saturday, April 25 at Almansor Court. The event brings together students, families, alumnae and community supporters for an evening dedicated to celebrating education and raising funds for student programs.
This year’s event, themed “Back to the ’80s,” will feature dinner, entertainment and a community celebration alongside an online silent auction running April 18–25, allowing supporters to participate from anywhere.
The 2026 gala comes during a milestone year for Ramona Convent. The school was recently recognized as a STEM School of Excellence by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) – a prestigious national distinction awarded to schools demonstrating outstanding commitment to technology, engineering, and STEM education. Ramona Convent is the only school in California to receive this recognition for the 2025–26 cycle.
Proceeds from the gala support The Ramona Fund, which helps sustain academic programs, co-curricular activities, campus resources, faculty development and innovative initiatives such as the school’s growing STEM curriculum.
“Ramona has a long tradition of empowering young women through academic excellence and leadership opportunities,” school leadership said. “Community events like the auction and gala help ensure we can continue expanding programs – particularly in STEM – that prepare our students to lead and innovate in the world ahead.”
Founded more than 130 years ago and sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Ramona Convent Secondary School is a Catholic college-preparatory high school for young women located in Alhambra. The school is dedicated to developing confident leaders through a rigorous academic curriculum grounded in faith, service and social responsibility.
Community members are invited to attend the gala, participate in the online auction or support the event through sponsorships and donations.
