Feb. 7

Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, a woman reported she and her mother went to the location, parked in a parking lot and both left to go on a hike. Prior to leaving they both left their wallets inside the vehicle. When they returned they discovered all four doors of the vehicle were unlocked and both wallets were gone. 

The theft occurred between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

Feb. 5

900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a store employee reported he witnessed a suspect, described as a White adult male, about 18-19 years old, about 5’8” to 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 180 lbs. with black hair and a mustache and goatee. At the time he was wearing a brown colored shirt and dark pants. The suspect entered the store and walked toward the Lego aisle with a female. Security cameras showed the suspect taking toys from their packaging and placing them in his waistband. He then walked toward the front of the store toward the self-checkout stands. He then removed a pack of chewing gum from the shelf and placed it in his back pocket. 

As the suspect and the female attempted to leave the store, a loss prevention employee attempted to stop them. The employee told them they would have to walk to the Loss Prevention Office; however, on the way the two exited the store by pushing past the employee. 

The theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 6:39 p.m.

Feb. 4

2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee heard a coded message being broadcast on the store’s loudspeaker. The code was to warn all employees that someone in the store was possibly shoplifting. An informant stated she saw two suspects: Suspect No. 1 was described as a Black male, wearing a black hoodie, carrying two bags full of items and had zipped up bags. Suspect No. 2 was described as a Black male wearing a red beanie. He walked out of the east door of the store after the loudspeaker code was announced. 

Suspect No. 1 exited out of the west door. Suspect No. 1 dropped the bags he had just outside of the door after the sensor alarm sounded. When the informant went to the parking lot she saw a man who matched the description of Suspect No. 1 jogging to his vehicle, a blue Tesla, and got into the driver’s seat. 

The attempted theft occurred at 10:47 a.m.
