Peter James of Troop 319 has earned the rank of Eagle Scout – the highest achievement in Scouting. James celebrated this milestone with his family, friends and fellow Scouts during a heartfelt Eagle Scout court of honor held at Lincoln Elementary School’s auditorium – the very place where his Scouting journey first began.
Dylan McLemore opened the event by calling the colors, followed by an inspiring invocation from James’ parish priest, Fr. Gary Kyriacou. His former Scoutmaster, David Owens, returned as master of ceremonies and current Scoutmaster Zack Alvarado had the honor of presenting James with his Eagle Scout Award and neckerchief.

For his Eagle Scout project, James raised over $1,500 and dedicated his efforts to improving the grounds of Lincoln Elementary School. His project included refurbishing the school garden, creating a bird sanctuary and hummingbird garden, and building a new pathway and outdoor reading center – a peaceful space for students to gather, reflect and read.
James expressed gratitude to all who supported him throughout his Scouting journey, especially his scoutmasters, assistant scoutmasters, teachers and parents. Their encouragement and guidance helped him reach the accomplishment on his path to Eagle.
