Wide eyes and giggles abounded (with an occasional shriek heard) as families toured the always-popular annual Haunted House Maze hosted by the Church of Scientology Mission of the Foothills in Montrose on Halloween night.

Featuring a witch’s room, an animated séance spirit, the toxic waste scene and graveyard and a larger-than-life scary vulture, all to custom soundtracks, visitors exclaimed how cool and awesome it was.

As one young boy said with a huge grin on his face, “It was scary but it was fun!”

“The haunted house at the Foothills Mission is something my children look forward to every year. They do such an amazing job and I’m constantly impressed each year,” said Jackie Stryker, a Foothills resident adding, “Thank you, Foothills Mission, for making such amazing memories every Halloween for the Montrose community!”

Mission Holder Stacy Kitchens added, “Our staff and parishioners have so much fun creating our haunted house for the community and seeing everyone enjoy it so much. We are happy to do our part supporting Montrose’s tradition of providing a safe Halloween experience for families!”
