2500 block of Evelyn Street in Montrose, a resident received a notification that the cameras at his home were off. His daughter came home and told him the front door was open and the house had been ransacked. It appeared the suspect/suspects entered the home through the back sliding glass door, which had pry marks on it. It appeared the suspect/suspects entered the home and pulled the wires out that powered the security cameras. Several items were stolen.
The burglary occurred at 10:51 a.m.
5500 block of Vista Canada Place in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to a call concerning a burglary at a residence. An informant stating he observed suspects attempting to “break into” a home. Deputies arrived and observed a metal gate leading to the backyard was open as well as a kitchen window. Numerous rooms in the home had been ransacked and items were stolen.
Security footage revealed three suspects near the property. Suspect No. 1 was described as a male adult wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes. Suspect No. 2 was a male adult wearing a white hat with a white neck/face covering, black long-sleeved shirt, white shorts and black shoes. Suspect No. 3 was a male adult wearing a white hat, black face mask, black long-sleeved shirt, grey pants, black gloves and black shoes.
The burglary occurred between 8:47 a.m. and 9:50 a.m.
Oct. 9
5600 block of Castle Road in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident’s Tesla was parked and locked at the location; the next morning she discovered her vehicle was missing. Security footage revealed a white pickup truck parked in front of the victim’s residence. A male adult, wearing a hoodie and possibly light-colored clothing, was seen exiting the driver’s side of the pickup walking toward the Tesla and entering the driver’s seat. Using the vehicle’s built in GPS tracking system the victim was able to locate her Tesla in North Hollywood and was able to get it towed back.
The theft occurred at 1:19 a.m.
