3100 block of Evelyn Street in La Crescenta, a resident received a notification from his security camera system of motion near his vehicle, which was parked on the street in front of his residence. The footage revealed the trunk of his vehicle appeared to be closed. He then received a second notice from the security system and this time the trunk appeared to be ajar. He discovered items stolen from the trunk of his vehicle.
The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Oct. 1
3000 block Canon De Paraiso Lane in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported hearing a knock at the front door of his residence. A male adult stated he was delivering food; however, the resident had not ordered food and ignored the man. The resident then went to the laundry room in his home and soon heard the exterior laundry room door window shatter. The resident yelled and he heard someone running on the east side of his property toward the driveway. The resident looked out the window and saw a male (Suspect No. 2) wearing a dark colored hat and another male (Suspect No. 3) looking back at him from the property’s side gate. Both Suspects No. 2 and No. 3 ran southbound down the driveway toward a dark gray hatchback sedan. They entered the vehicle. The resident then went to the front of his home and saw the hatchback driving southeast from his house and out of view. He also observed a Hispanic adult man, wearing a white hat, mask, white shirt, gloves and dark colored pants, running southeast from his residence and out of view.
The attempted burglary occurred at 12:35 p.m.
Sept. 30
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee at a store reported that a person had broken a display case and stole multiple items. Security footage revealed a suspect, described as a Black male with black braided hair wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, white socks and black sandals, forced a display case open and took multiple items from the display case. He then ran out of the store and out of view at 7:21 p.m.
