LCPC Parent Ed Offers Popular Marriage Class

Registration is open for LCPC Parent Education’s popular Art of Marriage class that is offered every fall and winter to couples of all stages and ages! 

Beginning on Oct. 5, this four-week Parent Express class will meet on Sundays from 4:30-6:00 p.m. wrapping up on Oct. 26. In addition to impactful class time, couples can benefit from low-cost childcare from 4:30-8 p.m., which allows couples to go on an optional post-class private dinner date to process the material alone. As an extra bonus, couples who enroll by Sept. 26 will receive a free copy of the impactful book, Attached by Amir Levine, M.D. and Rachel S.F. The Art of Marriage offers a safe and supportive place to help couples deepen their relationships through understanding themselves and their partners. Class discussions explore topics such as ingredients for secure connection, healthy communication, conflict management, co-regulation and more. 

One past participant noted, “The Art of Marriage class has been so insightful in giving me more self-awareness and a better understanding of my partner. I also enjoyed getting to know other couples as we all learned new tools and practices to grow in our relational skills that are applicable to not only marriage but also our parenting.”

The Art of Marriage class will be taught by Teresa Chiu.

Sessions will be led by Teresa Chiu who holds an MA in psychology, a multiple teaching credential and is a certified life and relationship coach with additional training in the Gottman method.
