Busy Fall for CV Chamber
Over the summer the CV Chamber instituted a chance for our members (and prospective members) to gather in a relaxed way. These social outings were initiated by board member Tiffany Lau and are a fun way to support local businesses while getting to know each other.
For example, on July 2 we got together at Thee Elbow Room on Honolulu Avenue in Montrose. We ordered adult beverages, pretzels and more while talking to each other in an informal way. On Aug. 20 we met at Basin 141, also on Honolulu Avenue, and ordered food, beverages and more.
Looking ahead, we’re next getting together at Therapy at the Roar Room on Sept. 8 for ’80s trivia night. Located at 3645 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta, the fun begins at 7 p.m. – but you’ll probably want to get there early! And don’t come hungry – while Therapy at the Roar Room offers plenty of beverages there is no food on the menu – however, you can order/bring in food.

And we’re working on a “Friendsgiving” joint mixer with the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber at CV United Methodist Church, 2700 Montrose Ave., on Thursday, Nov. 13 – guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for our food drive supporting the Bailey Center! The mixer is just prior to our “Fall Festival” planned for Nov. 15 at Sadler Hall on the campus of St. Luke’s of the Mountains, 2563 Foothill Blvd.! We’re eager to meet you!
