
On Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 12:10 p.m., the program for the free admission Glendale Noon Concerts will be performed in the sanctuary of Glendale City Church, 610 E. California Ave. in Glendale. The program will feature the all-cello ensemble Splntrd Wood in a program “Songs Without Voices,” celebrating song and melody across time and culture.
All-cello ensemble Splntrd Wood creates fresh and invigorating live music experiences with its own audacious arrangements that cross divides between musical genres. Its 2025 program Songs Without Voices celebrates song and melody across time and culture, reimagining classical opera, jazz, Bollywood, samba, rock and more for up to six cellists. Crafted to surprise, delight and inspire, the program invites audiences of all ages into a vibrant, songful journey – without a single word.
Splntrd Wood is composed of cellists Ian Gottlieb, Daniel Lim, Matthew Park and Jaewon Ahn. The program includes Giacomo Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, Tan Dun’s The Eternal Vow, Lalit Pandit’s Munni Badnaam, Kurt Cobain’s Heart-Shaped Box, Jacob Arcadelt’s Il Bianco E Dolce Cigno and George Harrison’s Here Comes The Sun.
