A community favorite – Cruise Night on Brand Boulevard in Glendale – is on Saturday night from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The free family-friendly event promises a fun-filled night showcasing cars through 1985, live music by Scot Bruce with his music interpretation of Elvis Presley from the early years, Kenny Metcalf as Elton John and The PettyBreakers. Brian Beirne, “Mr. Rock N Roll” of KRTH 101 Radio, will be hosting the event.

Choosing the entertainment was especially important to Beirne.

“I wanted a broad spectrum of entertainment with hits from the ’50s thru the early ’80s, from Elvis to Elton,” he said. “Interestingly both Tom Petty and Elton John were influenced by Elvis.”

Over 325 cars are expected along Brand, according to Beirne.

“Plus modified imports and exotic cars,” he added.

The event, celebrating its 30th year, is presented by BMW with support from the Greater Downtown Glendale Assn.

Cruise Night is not just a time to ogle cars; folks will have the chance to learn about services provided by a variety of vendors. Among those expected on the boulevard will be representatives from Porto’s, KABC-790, Dignity Health, Los Angeles Federal Credit Union, Califormulated (selling Cruise Night T-shirts ), The Alex, Super King market, The “Donut Guy” Realty Group w/Keller Williams and others.

The team from The “Donut Guy” Realty Group will be on hand to hand out plenty of donuts, both chocolate and glazed.

“We’re giving out four dozen donuts every half hour, so there will be lots to go around!” promised Priscilla Martell, event coordinator for The “Donut Guy” Realty Group. “We’ll also have free coffee, cold water, balloons and some more fun giveaways; be sure to swing by and say hi!”

Vendors flock to the event to better acquaint themselves with the community and to provide information on their services.

“We love being present at community events,” said Martell. “The Cruise Night is such a fun way to connect with people in a relaxed setting. It aligns perfectly with our brand; we’re all about making real estate an enjoyable experience. We’re here to bring some fun, good vibes and friendly faces to the night.”

Folks who want to learn more are encouraged to attend Cruise Night.

“We’re really looking forward to Cruise Night!” said Martell. “It’s one of our favorite ways to connect with the community and share a little joy … and some sugar. Whether you come for the cars or the donuts, we hope you’ll stop by, grab a treat and say hello. ‘Selling homes, sharing donuts’ – it’s what we do best.”
