P.E.O. Installs New Officers

P.E.O. Glendale Reciprocity that represents the 11 local P.E.O. chapters (each designated with letter names) recently met to install new officers. Marge McNaught, Chapter FF-KU, installed Linda Mills, VS, as president; Pat Steen, MZ, vice president; Katie Ingram, IH, corresponding secretary; Donna Franklin, HG, recording secretary and Cathy Marrero, FF-KU treasurer for the 2023-24 year. Pat Steen, MZ, outgoing president, was thanked for her service and presented with a past president’s pin by Anne Krall, FF-KU.

Members of these local P.E.O. Chapters manage the Daz-E Shop, a thrift shop founded in 1969 located at 2525 N. Lake Ave. in Altadena. Donations and shopping may be done Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from the shop go towards the Mildred L. McEntire Daz-E Shop Scholarship, which is a merit-based award for Southern California women attending an accredited college.

P.E.O., Philanthropic Educational Organization, promotes the empowerment of women through the giving of scholarships, grants and loans to graduating seniors, college students and women whose education has been interrupted and find it necessary to return to school to improve their marketable skills. Over 300 women in the Glendale, La Crescenta and La Cañada areas belong to P.E.O.
