Deceased Male Discovered at Parking Lot of Bank

The body of a 62-year-old male was found on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 17 in the parking lot of Bank of America in the 3100 block of Foothill Boulevard. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim was found to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Sgt. Bell, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. – Homicide Bureau. Within LASD all deaths, including death by suicide, are investigated by the Homicide Bureau.

Deputies were flagged down by citizens who discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, said Bell. He added that all evidence points to death by suicide. An investigation revealed surveillance footage that showed the man walking into the parking lot by himself and remaining by himself. Hours later the male’s body was discovered.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office reported the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head and has classified it as a death by suicide.
